Effect of Chestnut Tannins and Vitamin E Supplementation to Linseed Oil-Enriched Diets on Growth Performance, Meat Quality, and Intestinal Morphology of Broiler Chickens

The objective of this study was to establish the effects chestnut tannin extract or vitamin E added linseed oil-enriched diets on growth performance, meat quality, and intestinal morphology broiler chickens. A total 240 day-old Ross 308 male chicks were included in trial. 5% cold-pressed oil finisher (21–40 days), three feeding treatments with four replicates formed: without additives; + 200 IU E/kg; 500 mg/kg wood extract. No significant influence established body weight feed conversion ratio. negative effect intake (p < 0.05) found group. addition increased dressing percentage breast yield 0.01) compared control water holding capacity pH meat. highest level AST ALT recorded villus height, height: crypt depth ratio, area other two groups 0.05). It can be concluded that supplementation improves carcass yield, while tannins improve chickens when diets.
